Welcome: Highgate Harriers aim is to create an annual 10,000m specific event that brings together passionate middle distance runners & provide them with a platform to work together to achieve their 10,000m PB potential.
We believe runners deserve an opportunity to plan their training focus towards a well attended, competitive, pace assisted, chip timed and atmospheric 10,000m event. At this point we must thank our long term partners the City of London, as their unwavering athletics support has made this and other club initiatives possible.
Highgate Harriers Pace assistance: Pacing assistance will include: creating identifiable pace groups, each pace group will have their own dedicated individual providing pace info re if up or down on target time, each runner to have pace group and target time displayed, one member of each group will be provided with a Soleus timer for pace. In addition each runner will have chip timing to provide lap by lap time information for post race analysis with official times recorded by accredited time keepers. And for fun we will also be playing a selection of requested motivational musical tunes as requested by athletes to help them find that little extra to achieve their PB.
Pace criteria: Due to limited available places in each of the two 10,000m races and our specific aim to bring together as many leading club athletes as possible, we have set the following pace criteria for each race.

The B race will be for athletes with PBs ranging from 32m.00s to 37m.30s and the A race for athletes with PBs under 32m.00s or the fastest full field.

Scheduling:We have scheduled the event before AAA to help with possible qualifying times and have tried avoiding iconic Watford BMC Grand Prix (as we go to press BMC organisers suggest end of June or mid July).
Feedback:Your feedback after this inaugural event would be appreciated as we will incorporate all learning's for the 2014 event and we very much look forward to seeing you on June 6th at our home track of Parliament Hill, good luck and we hope you can grab yourself a PB!
