After the start, within 100metres Oscar Bell of Herts Phoenix went into the lead followed by Roger Poolman of Highgate Harriers. That was won by Luke Dunham of Herts Phoenix in 14:15.178 took part in the womens' race won by ex-Nationa[ Champion Liz Janes (preveiously Hall) in 30:10. Out of 178 runners the Highgate Ladies in the first 60 were 15 Emma Butcher 33:27; 18 Nicola Edmunds; 33:55; 38 Lisa Wenninger 35:28; 53 Emma Young 31:14 and 58 Natasha Cendrowicz (2nd W50 overall) 36:28.
