Highgate Harrier, Flurry Grierson, the UCLA 5000 track Champion; who was 3rd in the Met league at Welwyn and 12th in the Southern in January, was out improving his road personal best time for 5k of 14:30 to run 14:17. It was in the Elite race, in the 'Friday Night 5k Under the lights' at Battersea, on the 16th of February. That placed him 16th overall in the 'Elite' race. Rob Wilson also was inside that 'Classy' 5k time of 15 minutes with 14:56. Someone to watch out for in the future, was Sam Jinks, who was 3rd of 50 runners in race '1' in exactly 15 minutes.
On the 18th of February, in a field of 1137 finishers, in the Hampton Court Half marathon came Highgate Harrier Chris Wright in 3rd place overall.
