At this point in the season, road-running in mild sunny weather is a distant memory for many of us. That venerable organ of athletics news, Athletics Weekly, gave us a reminder of what that’s like when they covered in their recent issue the National multi-stage relays (6 for men, 4 for women) which took place on October 7th at Sutton Park.
Top left you can see Jacon Allen on the start-line, getting ready to give the team a great start winning his stage. Bottom left there’s a superb action shot of Lauren Russell beginning the second stage.
On the day, both teams delivered creditable overall performances with the men 7th and the women 16th.
