Rob Wilson, Highgate Harriers men’s cross-country captain, finished first of 100 runners in the North London Championships at Berkeley Fields, Greenford on 29 October. Rob, who ran his fastest ever 5 & 10k track race times this year, was timed at 27:34 for the course. In second place, not far behind was Sean Renfer of Highgate in 27:37. The other Highgate scorers included seventh Chris Hicks 28:52; eighth Henry Murdoch 29:14; 16th Mat Dan 29:58; 17th Dennis Davidson 30:04; 21st Flurry Grierson 30:21; 24th Alex Holley 30:58. The first six men's teams of 15 entries were, first Highgate Harriers (51 points); second London Heathside (98); third Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets (99); fourth Serpentine RC (133); fifth Queens Park Harriers (223); sixth Eton Manor (271).

The Women’s race was won by London Heathside's Olivia Desborough in 32:13. Of the 57 finishers, three were Highgate Harriers runners; fifth was Flick Burton 34:59; 11th finisher was experienced Louise Faherty 36:11; 49th Marcia Duarte 49:24. For the women’s teams, first were London Heathside (18 points); second Serpentine RC (75) and third Ealing Southhall & Middx AC (91).
