In the Annual Bottomist Cup race held on the morning of Boxing Day - which was always supported by legendary coach Ted Fosbrook and now by his extended family - the cup was retained by last year's Middlesex Junior cross-country champion, Thomas Chadwick. Chadwick went round the Hampstead Heath one lap course in 16:40, followed home by Isaac Adni an Under 23 Oxford University student, in 16:50. Under 15 runner Felix Kent was 3rd out of the 30 starters, finishing in 16:57.
