With the great success of the Highgate Harriers men's cross country runners, with first team place in the Southern and fourth in the Nationals, one could be forgiven for overlooking some of the Highgate Harriers women who ran very well.

In the Southern Hannah Viner had her best ever position in the senior race with fourth and in the National she was 26th of 772 runners. She coaches Lauren Russell, that magnificent Under 17 runner for Highgate, who has won several Met Leagues, the London and Middlesex Championship's and was 9th in the Under 17 race in the Southern at Beckenham Place Park. Her Mother Sabina is a talented over 55 woman, who is representing England in her age group in a Home International road race.
