Highgate Harrier, Dominic Ogbechie, Highgate's leading jumper, came 4th with 2'09m in the UK Championships in Sports City, Manchester on the 8th of July. One of Highgate's best distance runners Rebecca Johnson ran 4:30.23 in her heat of the 1500 but did not qualify for the final.
On Sunday in the Elmore 7 miles road race, Ex-Highgate man, Andy Maud, won the race, out of a field out of over 250, by a big margin in 35:46. "Because of injuries it is my first race for 10 months" said Andy.
