Running in the Under 17 Championships, in the mud, in the Inter-Counties at Nottingham, Thomas Chadwick finished in 7th of 290 finishers. Chadwick won the London Schools Championship earlier this year and came 25th in the Southern Under 17 Championship at Beckenham Place Park, on 27th of January. In the case of the Inter-Counties, where he was 7th, it draws athletes from all over the UK.
Middlesex County runner Chadwick, was timed at 17:55, not far behind the winner Harry Maxwell of Wilts who ran 17:47 for the course!
Lauren Russell, who has been running so well, since she was a 17 year old in 2022 and made the UK Mountain racing team, as well as being 3rd in the Southern Under 20 Cross Country Championships this year. She is advised by Hannah Viner. Lauren ran into 9th place out of 166 runners in her Under20 Inter County race.
Middlessex Senior cross country Champion, Terry Fawden, who was 3rd in the Final Met League at Trent Park on the 10thof February, came a creditable 24th of 285 finishers in the senior race.
