The indoor Track and Field season came to a close last weekend at Lee Valley with the Middlesex/Herts/Kent Tri-Counties Championships. Here’s a round-up of Highgate performances in the Middlesex competitions. Both experienced athletes and first-timers did themselves proud over a range of events, and an exciting outdoor season beckons to all!

  • Charlie Button won the senior men High Jump clearing 1.85m.
  • Jonathan Boardman was runner-up in the senior men 800m in a time of 2:05.37.
  • Monisade Ayodeji had a busy weekend in the U17W category, winning the High Jump with her best indoor performance of 1.55m. She came 6th in the Long Jump with 4.25m and 3rd in her 200m heat with 28.45s.
  • Remy Weinbrecht, an U20M multi-eventer, posted two personal bests. He followed a runner-up position in the 60m Hurdles clocking 8.56s, with a win in the Shot Put, throwing 13.20m.
  • Gabrielle Johnson in the U20W category won her Shot Put, competing with the 4kg shot for the first time, throwing 9.03m. She came third in the Long Jump with 4.91m.
  • Bradley Baka in the U17M category competed for the first time indoors. He made the final of the 200m, coming 5th in 24.24s, and clocked 7.65s in the 60m heats.
  • Arthur Shaw took the win in U15B High Jump with 1.60m, equaling his PB.
  • Ihsan Matti in the U20M category ran his first-ever race, the 60m in 7.71s.
  • Olive Brungs in the U15G category ran 800m in 2:57.48.
  • Joshua Oyinlola competed in SM shot, throwing 5.72m.
