In the 12 stage South of England Championships Road Relay, at Milton Keynes on Saturday, the 30th of March Highgate, won the event outright. Alex Lepretre took the club into the lead on leg 7 and, they held that position right to the finish. Alex Lepretre did  the 2nd fastest long stage time of 25:56, of all the club runners on the day. Highgate's total time was 4hr 10min 27 seconds and they were well ahead of the next team that included Cambridge and Coleridge, Tonbridge AC and previous winners Aldershot & Farnham plus Belgrave Harriers.
It was impressive to see the anchor man Joseph young come in clear in 14:47 for the final short leg stage. New to the top team Thomas  Chadwick did well to run 16.40 on the 2nd leg to pass over to Roger Poolman (26:08). Monte Watson led on the next leg in 15.28 before Jacob Allen ran a 26.09 long leg.
