Athletics officials are an indispensable group of volunteers who make events happen.
- Track Judges and Timekeepers get to hang around at the finish line.
- Starters operate electronic starting pistols.
- Photo-Finish Judges work with high-tech equipment to capture race results.
If you'd like to join them, England Athletics offers online courses to get you started! The club covers the cost (at a discounted rate) and provides ongoing support.
Courses are open to members aged 16+ or parents who can donate a few afternoons a year to support our events.
