Under 20 runner Thomas Chadwick, improved his personal best for 1500m from 3:52.05 to 3:47.51 in the BMC Grand Prix & World Athletics Challenge, at Trafford on the 9th of August.
There were many good Highgate 'quality' times at the Watford Open Meeting on the 6th of August, and a sprinkling of good times the same day in the BMC meeting. Harvey Weinberger ran 1:52.93 for 800m at Watford and Finlay Curren ran 1:59.9, to get inside the magic 2 minute barrier. At the same meeting Arjuna Pflug improved his best time for 3000m. The Under 17 athlete, ran 8:38.29 for 3000m beating his last attempt of 8:57,69'. Joseph Hayes ran a 1:57.43 800m at the Watford meeting on the 6th of August, Ben Harries did a personal best 3000m at Watford on the same day in 8:50.51.
New to athletics this year Izzy Irons, an Under 17 girl ran 61.6 for 400 at Watford on the 6th of August. Her best was 59.84 in April. She is coached by ex-World Veteran Champion Nina Anderson.
