Highgate members scored at the England Athletics London regional volunteer awards. The prestigious awards ceremony, hosted on Saturday 27 September by England Athletics CEO Chris Jones, saw awards handed to Jennifer Lovell and Errol Peak.
Jennifer Lovell – Inspiring Official
Jennifer, Highgate President, won because of her dedication to officiating, matched only by her warmth, professionalism, and passion for the sport. A licensed official since 2015, she holds multiple qualifications and officiates at club, county, regional, and national levels. Beyond her technical expertise, Jennifer is a tireless mentor - supporting new and experienced officials with patience, clarity, and kindness.
As the regional winner, Jennifer now goes forward to the National awards.
Errol Peak – Coach of the Year (runner-up)
Errol won because he is a truly exceptional coach whose impact reaches far beyond the track. In just one year, he’s transformed athletes’ confidence, performance, and wellbeing. His sessions blend discipline with joy, creating an inclusive, motivating environment for all abilities.
