NWL Race 2 - Kingsbury, 1st of November

Highgate Harriers’ U11 boys went one better at the second NWL fixture in Kingsbury to secure a fantastic team victory. It was a sea of the famous black and white hoops, with lots of runners from our London running club out competing.

Still dry underfoot, the course at Kingsbury was nevertheless challenging, being undulating and uneven. (And the stipulated distances being very suspect!)

The star performance of the day came from Anna Murray who battled her way into 1st in the U13s. She led home her 7 Highgate Harriers teammates into 2nd position overall. Half the team was competing for the first time - so an encouraging result on several fronts.

Other highlights for Highgate Harriers:

  • Owen Lewis moved through the field to finish 2nd in U11 boys.
  • Charlotte Knipe was again very consistent, taking 3rd in U11s.
  • The U11 girls team came 4th this time out.
  • In the U15 boys, Zain Broachi claimed a 3rd spot, with Jack Cobbold backing him up well in 6th and Nathan Anderson 17th.
  • Eloise Lindley is coming into form with a 3rd place in the U17s.

A great showing by the club at the North West London (NWL) cross country fixture.
