Over 1,800 young athletes from 32 London boroughs participated at Parliament Hill Fields on Saturday 8 November for the London Youth Games Cross Country, the opening event of the 2025/26 season.

The atmosphere at Parliament Hill was electric as hundreds of schools, clubs and borough teams came together for one of the most iconic fixtures in the London Youth Games calendar. Many of Team GB’s biggest names began their journey on this very course – including four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah (Hounslow), 2024 World and Olympic champion Alex Yee (Lewisham) and double Olympic medallist Sam Reardon.

Reporting specifically on our U11s from Highgate Harriers who showed grit and determination to finish strong in the 1.4km super-fast course on our home turf. Congratulations to all our harriers and their parents for being part of this iconic event.

We had couple of unfortunate injuries who will come back strong...

Special mention and kudos for U11 female Charlotte Knipe and Florence Phillips placing in top 6 and very close to podium. Amazing race from our U11 boys Logan Tidball and Owen Lewis knocking on the top 20.

Editor: Here's a very nice selection of photos (big, big thumbs-up for Manish on assembling numerous into one handy image, and even adding names). Our focus is on the U11 racing, but we also have a couple of bonus photos featuring U15 girls - Kerriane, Ira and Olive, and then U17 woman Sonny.
