Out at Hillingdon, near Hillingdon House farm, Uxbridge on Saturday the 13th of December, it was the younger age groups of the club, who ran so well, in the cross-countries, three of those achieved gold medals.
In the Women's Under 20 race, Highgate's Leon Delvendahl won in 23:34, beating her nearest rival Lyra Mc Donald of Victoria and Tower Hamlets, who ran 24:16. Seventeen ran in the race.
The Under 17 Women's race was won impressively by Sonny Allen in 22:43 with the second runner Arabella Nicol clocking 23:18 well behind her. 28 competed the race. In the under 17 Men's race Arjuna Pflug was on form again, winning in 20.09 ahead of Daniel Jeffs of St Marys who ran 20:30. There were 40 finishers.
In the youngest element of the club showed great promise. In the Under 11 girls Florence Phillips was 2nd of 34 runners and Owen Lewis 3rd in the Under 11 Boys, In the Under 13's event for girls Alexandera Rothwell was 2nd of 48.
One Highgate Harrier, from the current Metropolitan league winning team ran in the senior Men's racer and that wad Jack Mc Vann who came 15th of 112.
