Highgate Harriers Men's team, are still going for their 14th consecutive yearly victory, at their next Metropolitan league fixture on the 7th of February at Trent Park, despite the Cross Challenge being on Hampstead Heath, arranged after the Metropolitan League fixture was decided to be at Trent Park. Highgate were 2nd on the 10th of January on the 4th of 5 events, at Welwyn On the day,  out of the 30 odd club teams they got 1794 points behind Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets who scored 1979.
Highgate were still on course and filled all their 12 scorers in the first 69 places and, interestingly enough, Ben Noad (M45), who  ran for GB in the European & World cross-countries a while ago,  was their 12th man! The first runner home was Thomas Butler (Shaftesbury Barnet) who had won at Horsenden Hill earlier in the season. He won in 26:18.
 Highgate's first runner was 8th Terry Fawden in 26:39, The next in was Sam Jinks who came 11th in in 27:06. The rest of the 12 were 17 Charlie Haywood, 19 George Trotter, 28 Sean Renfer, 30 Mark Ouzi, 50 Mathew Sotherby, 64 Lewis Greaves, 67 Sean Collum & 69 Ben Noad of the 359 finishers. 
In the Women's race The Russian, Alecsandrov (of Serpentine RC) who won in 31.9:05 Out of the 176 runners the first Highate woman was Kaityln Johnson in 6th place in 32:34. The rest were headed by,. easily the first W55 in the race, Karina Harris in 33:00, followed by 18 Hannah Rayden 34:21. The rest of the Highgate scorers were 29 Emily Chong; 48 Louise Faherty (W50); 51 Rachel Chattenberg; and 65 Natasha Cendrowicz (W55)' The teams for the first 3 on th day were 1 Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets 437; London Heathsie 379 and 3 Highgate Harriers 388.  In the Under 11 Boys Alexander was 4th and and and the first Under 11 girl was Highgate Harriers girl Charlotte Knipel in 5,34 out of 37 finishers.
