A wave of black and white Harriers made light of the heavy going and pretty much swamped the opposition. All runners got round the course safely: thank you to all marshals, Ben Noad and Martin Howard.
A number of firsts to note:
- First race for Maximillian Leemans, Karlotta Frost, Thea Ramen and Evy Gannon in the U11s.
- First race for Matha Reynolds, Ariana Walker, Victor Bielecki, Thor Frost and Arya Ahuja in the U13s.
- In the U15 Boys, William Cleborne joined the squad with his first race for the Harriers.
Individual Race Winners
Congratulations to Owen Lewis (U11 Boys) and Anna Murray, who secured another victory in the U13 Girls category.
Team Results
There were team victories for the U11 Boys, U15 Boys and U13 Girls. Most significantly, all our teams finished in the top three. The biggest turnaround for the season came from the U13 Boys with a second-place finish, led home by Robert Mainwood (5th), Alex Edis (7th), Rupert Carefull (10th), Harry Coleman (20th), Victor Bielecki (25th), Thor Frost (38th) and Arya Ahuja (39th).
This meeting was hosted by the club. A big thank you to all those who helped with set-up and ensured this event went off well.
In particular, thank you to our marshals: Richard Priestley, Kate Chadwick, Clare Drinkell, Jen Hickson, Karima Harris, Ashley Scott-Wilson, Kaitlyn Johnson, Coral Holmes, Brenda Myers, Kate Pettican, Andrew Radwell and Johan Ghillebert. Thanks also go to our gazebo carriers and start/finishing team: Martin Black, Graham and Anthony Norris.
The final race of the NWL takes place on 28th February, with the Harriers well-placed to bring home various awards!
