Highgate Harriers men showed they were still well within the first ten best road running clubs in the country when they were well up out of the 60 plus teams in the National !2 Stage road relay, at Sutton Park on Saturday the 11th of April. Their team was 8th overall and ahead of 'the best team from over the Border ,Central AC who were 10th and highly rated Leeds City AC  were 9th. The winning Club was Bristol & West AC in 3:16.49. Highgate's first team time ran 3:21.32. Their fastest runner was Flurry Grierson. who came home 3rd on the first leg in 15:55. Two who made a welcome return for the team were Alex Lepretre, Highgate's top marathon man, who was 4th on leg 2 in 16:19 and Jacob Allen who came in 5th on leg 4 in 16:22 . Although Highgate's 'A' came in 8th they had a 'B' team finishing in 21st place, which shows their remarkable strength. For the 'A' Sam Jinks ran the anchor leg 12 in 16:49.
Amother remarkable thing was the women did well to come 13th overall with Hannah Viner running 16:57 on the first leg . The rest of the team were Karima Harris, Daisy Smith, Karina Thornton, Emily Chong. and Ashley-Scott Wllson were the rest for their six stage race!
