Results: 1st SBH, 2nd Highgate Heathside, 3rd Havering, 4th Herne Hill Harriers, 5th VPH&TH
Highgate and Heathside's U18 and U20 athletes opened their season with a superb 2nd place behind SBH at Havering on Sunday. Having been promoted last season the league has been restructured to ensure clubs are grouped locally to reduce travel times. SBH and hosts Havering were both Premiership Clubs last year to give some context on how good a performance this was.
The team also only filled 4 of 24 possible middle distance places showing there is potential to do even better. The team won both U20 categories and was 2nd in the U18 Women. There were event wins for:
- Sam Brown (U20M 400m)
- Montana Dennis (U20M 110mH, Hammer)
- Jordan Gboho (U20M 400mH, High Jump)
- Louie Brook (U20M Discus)
- Monisade Ayodeji (U20W High Jump)
- Auguste Ramin (U18M 400mH)
- Amani Osman (U18W High Jump)
Well done to all the athletes who showed willing to try other events to score points for the team. Special thanks go to Team Managers Sonia and Israel, and to Jen, Simon and Alima who secured 40 vital officials points.
