In Southern League DivIsion 3 North London, at Lee Valley, on the 16th of May Highgate Harriers/Mornington Chasers, easily topped the Division 3 in their first match, showing they have a much better chance this season of moving into Division 2, by the end of the season and, on the 21st of June Highgate/Mornington are at Parliament Hill Fields track for their second fixture. The league result on the 16th of May, in Match points reads Highgate Harriers/Mornington 403.5; Enfield & Haringey 226; Hillingdon 224; Orion & Loughton 218; Serpentine 215 Barnet & District 147 & Newham & Essex Beagles 115 .
Xavier Achiampong did 13'47 for the triple jump 'A' for Highgate/Mornington and was considered as the 'Man of the Match', over all the men. There were some multiple winners for Highgate/Mornington, Anna Koshevaya (U18) won the 'A' 200 in 26.59 as well as 2nd in the javelin with 20'31& 1'70 in the pole vault 'B'  but spare a thought with someone, defying the years of competition and that was Enfield  Haringey's Evaun Williams, a World and National veteran Champion over the years and now Over 85 was 4th in the Women's discus with 16'73 & 3rd in the javelin. Karina Kelly won long jump with 4'02 and 8,57 for the shot and was also 2nd in the javelin with 20'31. Highgate/Mornington won the 4x100 relay women's relay and the men won the 4x400. The latter in the good time of 3:59.12 .Luke Tomlinson won the 1500 'A' in 4:16..34. Rosa Kiran won the women's 'B; 400 in 62.36 and the 800 'A' in 2:18.47.
