Highgate Harrier Remy Weinbrecht, an Under 20 athlete, competed in the Combined Events at the Surrey Combined Championships at Carshalton on the 5/6 of September and ran an impressive 45.56 for a personal best 400m amongst his events. The first time he has been recorded under 50 seconds. His other marks were shot 12'78; javelin 44'36; High jump /1'83. 15.48 for 110m hurdles and 11.46 for 100m. He was first in every event except for the 100 when he was 2nd.
At the Big London Half marathon' on Sunday 6th of September there were a few impressive times in the Race through some of the London streets, including by the Cutty Sark area. Over 60 runner, Sabina Russell, did 1hr 23min and 40 seconds for the course. Several Highgate entries ran under 1hr 20 for the event. Lann Yanchien did 1:18.50; Sam Kelly 1:14.03. Tom Elwood 1hr 11.58; Nicol Cassell 1hr 15.19.
