In the Middlesex Young Athletes Championship road relays, on the 13th of September, at Minet Center, two 10 year old Highgate Harriers won their individual races for Under 12's. Owen Lewis beat 14 other boys to come home in 04min 56 well ahead of Daniel Ross of Ealing who ran 05:13s. (Lewis previously won the Golden Stag Mile, for his age group in 5:27.79, That was at Finsbury Park and, on the 31st of May he also won a Middlesex Young athletes league 1200 in 3:55.43.0.
Florence Phillips beat 8 other girls in her Under 12 race, to win in 05.29.ahead of London Heathsides' Elizabeth Paitee, who ran 06:21. (On the 2nd of May Phillips won an 800 in the Middlesex Young athletes League in 2:37.33 at Perivale and won again at Parliament Hill in the same league, over 1200 in 4:09.38.)
Highgate Harriers were 3rd in the Under 14 Girls Anna Murray was 3rd 11.06 Twenty three ran. Other Highgate girls were 12th Gaia Das-Gupta12.29, 16th Lila Hristou 12.51.
Highgate's runners won the under 16's team award, out of 11 clubs. The team was 2nd Alex Pettican 09.50; 4th Kiaan Zare 10.06, 13 Robert Mainwood 10:36;14, 23 Alexander Edis 10.40 and 23 Harry Coleman 11.15
Nicolas Cassell went Fell running in the Isle of Wight and came 4th and 5th in separate Fell races on the island .
In the Great North Run Adam Horne did 2hr17.02. over 35 Master, Tim Kerr recorded 1:23.59.
